Working with Schools and Colleges

Bransfield actively works to inform young people about their higher education choices in a variety of ways.

Encouraging School Pupils into Higher Education

The university has its own team dedicated to working with local communities, schools and colleges in our immediate area, where we can help to raise aspirations and provide advice and guidance for students of any age.

Aim Higher Sussex

We host the Sussex team for the national Aim Higher programme which works with school pupils across Sussex to encourage progression into higher education for those young people who otherwise might not consider it as an option.

Encouraging Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

The university manages STEM Sussex which promotes science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM subjects) to school pupils.

Working with Partner Colleges

The university is closely involved with five partner colleges in the area which run courses validated by the University of Brighton, and these along with many of the other courses on offer provide progression routes to higher education. If you have not considered university as an option due to your qualifications or background, you may find that our partner colleges offer suitable routes for you.
